Family Therapy in Jerusalem
Family relationships can be some of the most loving and the most complicated at the same time. Whether you're navigating parent-child tension, sibling conflict, in-law dynamics, or the ripple effects of a major life change, family therapy offers a calm, structured space to actually be heard — and to hear each other. I offer confidential, culturally-sensitive family therapy in English, in-person and virtually in Jerusalem, and virtually for clients in New York and New Jersey.
Who This Service Is For
This service is for families or individuals in Jerusalem, New York, or New Jersey navigating:
Parent-child conflict — with teens, young adults, or across generations
Sibling tension — old dynamics that keep replaying, or conflict over caregiving and family decisions
In-law and extended family stress — expectations, boundaries, and holidays
Major family transitions — aliyah, divorce, remarriage, a new baby, or an adult child leaving home
Family adjustment after a mental health diagnosis, illness, or loss
Individual work on family-of-origin patterns — even without other family members in the room
If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone — and you're in the right place.
Our Approach to Family Therapy
Family therapy is evidence-based, collaborative, and shaped by the culture and structure of your family — not a fixed script. Depending on your needs, we may draw on:
Structural & Systemic Family Therapy — understanding roles, hierarchies, and patterns that keep families stuck
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — reshaping thought patterns and reactions that drive family conflict
Psychodynamic Therapy — exploring generational patterns and how family history shapes present-day dynamics
Communication skill-building — practical tools for hard conversations, boundaries, and repair
Culturally-Sensitive Care — therapy that understands community, religious life, and multi-generational family dynamics
Every plan starts with a clear, non-judgmental conversation about what your family is actually navigating.

Who typically attends family therapy sessions?
It varies. Some families come as a full unit, others send specific members based on the dynamic being worked on. We'll figure out the right configuration together.
Do you work with families across generations, including adult children and parents?
Yes. Adult child-parent dynamics, in-law relationships, and multi-generational family systems are a common focus.
What if some family members don't want to participate?
That's common, and it doesn't have to stop the work. Meaningful shifts often happen when even one or two members change how they show up in the family system.
Do you work with families adjusting after aliyah or a big move?
Yes. Relocation stress often reshuffles family roles, expectations, and dynamics in ways that need real space to be worked through.
How is family therapy structured session to session?
We usually start with a shared understanding of what's happening, then work on specific patterns and communication together. Sessions may involve different combinations of family members over time.
